Every February, because of the bleakness of the month, I read "Crime and Punishment".

I do not read it every year but I have read Gone With the Wind three times.

Before I saw the movie I had read the book about 4 or 5 times, I started crying when Mister makes her sister leave until the end.  I think because I knew what was going to happen.

Oh yeah! The reunion with her sister at the end was a real tear jerker. So was the reconcilliation scene between Shug and her daddy the Preacher.

I could read this many times.  Excellant Book.  Did you read the Sequel?  There are also the movies  and I watch them ever so often.  But they aren't as good as the Books.

I read the sequel, but it wasn't as good as the original.

The books ending is different than the movies.  In the book she and Mister have made peace with each other and are "comfortable"...so they are actually sitting on the porch together when her sister and her children come home.

I have quite a few books I've read more than once, although maybe not once a year. I guess the ones I've read at least 6-10 times are:

The Winds of War
War and Remembrance
The Caine Mutiny
A Tree Grows in Brooklyn
The Stand
To Kill A Mockingbird

I don't read any books on a yearly basis, but I have read
"The Hobbit" & "Lord of the Rings" by JRR Tolkien twice.
I've also read "The Vampire Chronicles" ( 12 volumes ) by Ann Rice
at least twice. ( some three & four times )

Right now I am re-reading The Power of Intention by Dr. Wayne Dyer.  I recently re-read the Celestine Prophecy.  I frequently re-read parts of the Bible and my books pertaining to the Bible and the History of Civilization.

With the BIBLE being the exception, I don't re-read books.  To me it's a waste of precious time.
