Every February, because of the bleakness of the month, I read "Crime and Punishment".

I have read The Color Purple many many times.

I think because I knew what was going to happen.

There are also the movies and I watch them ever so often. But they aren't as good as the Books.

I think because I knew what was going to happen. The books ending is different than the movies. In the book she and Mister have made peace with each other and are "comfortable"...so they are actually sitting on the porch together when her sister and her children come home. Oh yeah! The reunion with her sister at the end was a real tear jerker. So was the reconcilliation scene between Shug and her daddy the Preacher.
I have quite a few books I've read more than once, although maybe not once a year. I guess the ones I've read at least 6-10 times are:The Winds of WarWar and RemembranceThe Caine MutinyA Tree Grows in BrooklynThe StandTo Kill A Mockingbird
