Just my opinion, but the Shack is better than the Left Behind books. It's also a quick read. If you read it, be sure to tell me what you think of the book.

Interesting, Gray. I have The Shack. Bought it one day while I was browsing through the stacks of books at a local bookstore. A man standing beside me saw me looking at it and said I should buy it - that he highly recommended it.  libby

Just finished the Scarpetta Factor, Patricia Cornwell.  It was good, but I do like the Scarpetta books.

i read that book. i had heard about it for a couple of years but being a strong christian i didn't know whether , from what i had heard, it would fit in with this. even though some of it was very different than what you would expect about Christianity it all just made since and i found myself really learning from it. powerful book whether you are a believer or not.....and if you are not, you might just be when you finish it.when and if you read it , try to look beyond your preconceptions on appearences and get the deeper meaning. that was the hardest part for me.

I'm re-reading Of Time, Space, and Other Things, by Isaac Asimov. It's a well worn paperback collection of some of his short stories - science fiction - that I found in a used book store. Asimov was a professor of microbiology at Boston University who wrote about a wide range of scientific concepts, including absolutely fascinating sci-fi. I still remember the first of his short stories that I read - Nightfall. It so impressed me that I decided I wanted to be an astronomer.

No where in the Bible is the word , "Rapture".

Duel - Richard Matheson

The author of "I am Legend". If you haven't read the book and only watched the movie, did you realize that it was a vampire story?  The book, which is tremendously better than the movie, makes it clear and paints a better picture.

Duel - Richard Matheson

Sandy, I haven't read either of the above, but Matheson, who as you probably know, also wrote Somewhere In Time, is one of my favorite fantasy/sci-fi writers.

Finished "Under The Dome" last night at 2am. Another great one by King.

i read that a few months back. it was one of the better ones of king's. lately he has not  been as good in my opinion.
