You say works is dead

 Matthew 5

13 Ye are the salt of the earth: but if the salt have lost his savour, wherewith shall it be salted? it is thenceforth good for nothing, but to be cast out, and to be trodden under foot of men
14 Ye are the light of the world. A city that is set on an hill cannot be hid.
15 Neither do men light a candle, and put it under a bushel, but on a candlestick; and it giveth light unto all that are in the house.
16 Let your light so shine before men, that they may see your good works, and glorify your Father which is in heaven.
Here Jesus said “....see your good works...”  It did not say just believe.  It did not say just have Faith.   To Believe one must have the true faith of truth His word not man’s (doctrine).  But His word.  These words are in read in my Bible, stating its His word.  Also are you saying all the verses I got out of the Bible in the first one on this topic that the word is a lie.  For I gave a few of them  that stated faith without works is dead
James 2
14 : “What doth it profit, my brethren, though a man say he hath faith, and have not works? can faith save him? “
James 2
17: “ Even so faith, if it hath not works, is dead, being alone “
Revelation 2
26:   “ And he that overcometh, and keepeth my works unto the end, to him will I give power over the nations: “

Matthew 5
17: “ Think not that I am come to destroy the law, or the prophets: I am not come to destroy, but to fulfil.”
This is Jesus words in the New Testament.  Now why would He say this if the law was dead.  He says what?   not to destroy but to fulfil.
18: “ For verily I say unto you, Till heaven and earth pass, one jot or one tittle shall in no wise pass from the law, till all be fulfilled.”
He also tells us until earth is gone or its axles move us off course that the law will be.  His words not mine.  If you want to believe the doctrine of your church over His word that is you.
Read John 1 The one who became Jesus in the NT was the God of the OT (the one doing the action).  Jesus is also the God of the NT as well.  Read it in your Bible.  If you already didn’t know this.  He was the one that gave the laws from the beginning.  And in Matthew He told us till earth passed away His laws are good.  He says He came to fulfill them.  A lot say He gave new Commandments.  No He fulfilled them.
Yes Salvation as a free gift but it is conditional.    Are works will not save us alone.  Faith alone will not save you alone.  It takes both.
James 2
17: “ Even so faith, if it hath not works, is dead, being alone “
Revelation 2
26:   “ And he that overcometh, and keepeth my works unto the end, to him will I give power over the nations:
Revelation 2:26 Those who what “...keepeth my works unto the end to him will I give...”   He will give what?  “ ...I give power over the nations:”    He will give the ones who have the faith and do His works power.  These’s are the ones who will be kings and priest under Him and His Kingdom .
Now how can you really say works is dead and does not mater and His word over and over and over says different.  One is a lie and one is the truth .  His word is the truth or a lie.  Your word is the truth and He is a lie.  I believe His word over anyone.  It takes faith but it also takes works.  No works wont save you alone.  Neither will faith alone.
