THE WINTER STORM WARNING FOR SNOW IS NOW IN EFFECT FROM 7 PM THIS
EVENING TO 6 AM EST SUNDAY.

* SNOW SHOWERS WILL COMMENCE IN EARNEST TONIGHT AND LASTING THROUGH
SUNDAY MORNING.

* TOTAL SNOW ACCUMULATIONS DURING THIS TIME WILL BE 18 TO 24
INCHES AND MAINLY ON WESTERN FACING SLOPES AND ELEVATIONS ABOVE
2500 FEET. SNOW ACCUMULATIONS EACH 12 HOUR PERIOD COULD RANGE
FROM 2 TO 4 INCHES.

* NORTHWEST WINDS ARE GOING TO BE GUSTING OVER 30 MPH THURSDAY
NIGHT AND FRIDAY CAUSING SOME BLOWING AND DRIFTING SNOW. BRIEF
PERIODS OF WHITE OUT CONDITIONS ARE POSSIBLE THURSDAY NIGHT AND
FRIDAY.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

A WINTER STORM WARNING FOR HEAVY SNOW MEANS SEVERE WINTER WEATHER
CONDITIONS ARE EXPECTED OR OCCURRING.  SIGNIFICANT AMOUNTS OF

I haven't heard the latest forecast for us here, but earlier they predicted we would just get light snow or a mix but with high winds. I wonder what the birds know...earlier in the evening, just before sunset, I heard the sounds of birds making a lot of noise and looked out and there were what looked like hundreds circling and gathering and generally headed south.  libby

Today was quite an adventure, but I made it up and back in one piece.    Supposed to go to Buchannon Saturday morning. I may have to call that one off.

Glad you made it safe and sound.  I would not want to be out on those roads for anything.  I'm a wimp when it comes to driving in snow.
