What's the weather like where you live?
« on: November 20, 2009, 06:43:26 AM »
Yesterday it was drizzly to rainy and mild. As I was getting ready for bed, about 11 PM, I heard rain on the roof, and then thunder. I couldn't believe it, but here in mid-November, it sounded like a big mid-summer thunderstorm, and it was getting closer (and louder) as I turned off the light, slipped between the covers and closed my eyes. What a lovely way to drift off to sleep!

I love the rain.   :thumps:

It has been the perfect fall here with very few really cold days  and lots of sunny comfortably cool days.  I have really enjoyed this beautiful fall weather.   :bananna: :bananna:

We drove to the coast of NC yesterday.  Drove in and out of rain storms all day, but when we arrived the temperature was 74 and the rain had passed.   Today, when we were out and about,  the sun was shining and the temperature was 77.    If it stays this nice, it will be hard to go back to VA after the holiday.

I was in Richmond for Thanksgiving. It was sunny and warm, and that night we had heavy thunderstorms. Came back home to rain for 2 days, then a day of sunshine, then more rain with big thunderstorms, again during the night. Yesterday it was sunny and warm, today overcast and cool. Tomorrow the weather guessers have predicted early rain turning into snow. We still haven't had a killer frost, so the herbs and other plants, including roses, and figs out back, are still lookin' good.

The weather it is a'changin'....

Duke I like your new avatar! It suits you perfectly!

As for the weather here, early rain and light snow by noon were predicted, but the snow began about 9:30 a.m. and is still a'comin' down. A while ago I looked up and out the window and huge snowflakes were floating down. It's beautiful here, and great that it's happenin' on a Saturday.
