Topic: Things I didn't know about Apple trees

Lowe's had apple trees on sale today for $19.99,  pretty good size of 6' or better but every tag had a recommendation to have a cross pollinator of a tree they didn't have.   I never knew that apple trees had to be planted with a different variety tree that bloomed around the same time to have cross pollinated apples.  I never realized growing apples trees could be that complicated.  Anyway,  here is a great cross reference pollination guide I thought I'd share.

Hubby did the pruning and he barely did any.  I really want go out there and cut back those trees.  Now it will have to wait till next year.
