New Global Warming Theory
« on: July 03, 2009, 05:15:51 PM »
The following is part of a long thread in the political section. I copied it here because of a scientific theory of global warming I hadn't heard before.

Re: Global Warming Report: New Details

Yesterday I came across an interesting program on the George Mason University channel. It was an in-progress discussion among scientists, apparently representing the National Science Foundation. Unlike many such programs, this one was not dull or driven by politics. The participants seemed excited that information gleaned from old records from different sources all over the earth indicate there has been a gradual warming of the entire earth for centuries - which continues today at an accelerated pace.

I heard no mention of solutions. The closest they got to that subject was to say that we do indeed have a problem (the melting glaciers and oceans were mentioned) and it (the problem) should've been recognized sooner.

I haven't heard much about warming locally. No free lemonade for 90 plus days this year.
