My one suggestion for dining in Myrtle would be the Bennett's Calabash...  A little of everything, Cheap.

 I had the same folly with Ho Wah, Chinese restaurant last time...  New people, not the same ...  Seems it has lost it's "care"...

Gray, how was traffic while you were there. They say tourism is down this year.

Definitely down. I suppose the genius's that decided to run off us dirty bikers didn't have the foresight to realize that many of the 200,000 return with our families. That coupled with with the slow economy has put a real damper on things. I hate it for the business owners, but they should never allowed the city council to run off their meal ticket.

I just got back from several days at Myrtle Beach. I did my shopping and dining everywhere but in the city of Myrtle. Since the city council decided they didn't want motorcyclists in their fair town, I figured I'd honor their wishes and spend my money in other parts of the strand.

 i have heard a lot of this, and last time I was there, I seen a bunch holding signs to warn others of their new STUPID law...

I've always enjoyed south Myrtle, but it seems they are tired of the swarm... Good for north Myrtle, and Ocean Isle i  guess...

Actually, from Surfside to Murrells Inlet seemed busier than the north end.

The beach is so crowded at Myrtle, hardly a place to play or much less sit. Been going to Surfside for 5 years now and there is tons of room. Mostly houses down there so there is room to play volley ball, bocce ball, frisbee, or even spread out and throw a baseball or football. Much more relaxing. If you like catfish try Bubba's fish shack, they have an all you eat special, MAN!!!!!!!!
