Yes.  I like the premise with vampires being the new minority segment of the population...nothing we could not  really believe.   :roflmao: :roflmao:

I was devastated when they cancelled MOONLIGHT last season.  Did you watch that one?  I love a good vamp series.  If we had HBO, you can be sure that I'd be watching TrueBlood!

I like TRUEBLOOD because it doesn't take itself too seriously.   It has it's moments of horror, but then there is something that makes you want to laugh...breaks the tension.    Like, a vampire bar called Fangtastic inhabited by some very ugly folks.    Also, a great change of pace is the rowdy sex---it is, afterall, HBO.

We watched 10 weeks of JOHN FROM CINCINNATI  last year and never did figure out what the real story line was.    Sex and vampires we understand.

*aac*  I agree.  It has a romantic twist too and a different sort of plot which keeps you wanting more.

I got my DVR set...   It records all the repeats, though, which on HBO can take alot OF SPACE...

Did you watch it last week?  I think Sam just may end up being played out as a werewolf or something along those lines.  He hates the Vampires and did you see the distance shot of him running nekked?  HMMMM

From the beginning it appeared there was some connection between Sam and the little beagle who appears to be around Sookie a lot.   I was thinking werewolf, shape-shifter, or some-such nonsense.

During the introduction of the program each time there is a reference to the "Sookie Stackhouse Chronicles", from which the program is derived.   I am not a vampire devotee, so I am not familiar with the  "Chronicles".     Is this familiar to anyone else?    Appears to be less the arty, elegant  type vampires and more the white-trash type vampires.

I love this series, and Sam is definitely a shapeshifter....has anyone read the Twilight Series?
