I usually don't get involved in discussions because people will only hear what they believe.... but I have to know if someone has a 'passion' about the abortion issue-are you for or against murdering helpless children? A lot of people say it's the woman's choice to have a child-and I agree with that-but that choice is made when women have unprotected sex... abortion is NOT birth control. Again I know there can be extenuating circumstances-like rape-but again the unborn child is NOT at fault and should NOT be murdered just because he or she was created in such an awful circumstance. You may say that the child is not a child but a fetus- what is a fetus but a developing child? One who has a beating heart,has the ability to feel and all the organs in place to live.

Personally, I find this question a little misleading or perhaps confused.

I seriously doubt that many people are "for murdering helpless children". In fact, many of the people who are pro-choice aren't  pro-abortion. They are "pro" allowing a woman to think and make decisions for herself w/out government interference. There's a HUGE difference.

From the day it is implanted in the uterus the fetus is a baby and has a heart beat.... as for the other half of what you said look at all the people who are waiting to adopt.... and,yes,all babies are not a result of unprotected sex-I did say that-but the baby should NOT have to suffer because of the circumstance surrounding his becoming.

I enjoy the exchange of ideas as well but some folks tend to get ugly about certain things...

Yes they do. And it's a real shame. I agree with you position on abortion but at the same time I am in no position to judge those who disagree. Therefore I don't try to push any of my deeply personal beliefs on anyone else.

The way I look at it - God will judge in the long run anyway.  :39:

I know I said I wasn't going to respond any longer on this but I find the post from 'Sandy' very disturbing... what I said was in NO WAY misleading OR confused... regardless of what a woman wants to do with her body once she is pregnant she becomes RESPONSIBLE for the other HUMAN that is contained within her body-and if she CHOOSES to have an abortion she IS MURDERING another human. That child has NO WAY of speaking for its self.... how sad the world is when people put murder under the guiles of making a decision for their own body-what about the baby's' body? Oh-thats' right- if you can't see it it doesn't exist-just like God-just like the air we breathe. We ALL KNOW that if a woman does NOT have an abortion within 7-8 months from the time she finds out shes' pregnant she has a living,breathing HUMAN-if she strangles it then she would be charged with murder-the ONLY difference is that while it's in the uterus it's considered 'HER' CHOICE... making the murder completely legal. How very screwed up and devastatingly sad. It's not what I posted that's confused-it's the perspective of what s right and moral against what is wrong and repulsive.

 Contradictive, at best...

Part One - "I seriously doubt that many people are "for murdering helpless children"." and " They are "pro" allowing a woman to think and make decisions for herself w/out government interference."

Explain to me, please - what the difference is, since it is so "HUGE"...   Betwixed MURDERING a CHILD, and ABORTING a FETUS...

Both of these are excellent examples of your "pro-choice" argument...  And to me, are one and the same...

I realize that I'm a little late in responding :roflmao;

But, what is so difficult to understand about the difference between pro-abortion and pro-choice.

I am not pro-abortion, for myself, but I would never assume to make a choice for someone else nor do I think the government has a right to. That's pro-choice. Huge difference.

As for the queation about murder, scientifically, the fetus isn't viable until about 28 weeks. It's simple, what's not living can't be murdered.

You can dislike it, complain and whine on any forum here and yon, but the truth of the matter is that it's none of your business what anyone except yourself does with her body.

Then you are anti-war and anti-capital punishment?
